IDentity Festival Returns To Miami

North America’s first traveling electronic music festival returns to Miami August 4th at Bayfront Park. This year’s line-up will feature some of the most exciting names in EDM such as Eric Pridz, Excision, Paul Van Dyk, Madeon, Wolfgang Gartner, Porter Robinson, Nero, Arty, Showtek, Noisia, and more.

The festival is visiting 15 cities throughout July and August and Miami has made its way on the list. Was there ever any doubt? But besides the Magic City, ID Fest will be in major US cities including Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco, and New York.

We can’t wait to see and interview some of these DJ’s to see what they have in store, especially recent birthday boy Porter Robinson who just turned 20 years old on my birthday. I wonder how he celebrated. That’s just one of the things on our list of questions for the no-longer promising teenage talent.  We’ll celebrate his young age and success right along side him at IDentity Fest.

Something else to celebrate is the return of Eric Prydz to the US. He hasn’t toured here since 2007 due to a fear of flying, but with his new album ‘Eric Prydz Presents Pryda’ and a unique IDENTITY live show, this is one road trip (key word being road) he just couldn’t miss.

Tr3s is just going to have to hook up with Prydz somehow and find out exactly what happened to him on an airplane that was so bad that kept him from the states all this time. His Ibiza residences, European festival smashes and char-topping hits have undoubtedly served as inspiration for his friend and collaborators formerly known as Swedish House Mafia.

And to keep the European theme going, IDENTITY has also ensured that French teen sensation Madeon will play in support of his debut album release. We can’t wait to see what he has in store after all the hype from his recent sets at Ultra and Coachella.

As if that’s not enough it’s been recently announced that Rye Rye, J Devil, Kerli, Stephan Jacobs, Cole Plante, DVBBS, Eva Simons, and The Eye will all be joining IDENTITY festival to ensure that no minute is wasted without top-notch live entertainment and talent.

So as the countdown begins for IDENTITY festival to hit Miami (T-minus 12 days) we can barely contain ourselves. Can you?

Kristen Stewart & Cameron Diaz Named Forbes ‘Highest Paid Actresses’

Talk about girl power! Kristen Stewart, Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock and a host of other leading ladies proved their worth this week, by making Forbes’ prestigious “Highest Paid Actress” list.

Though she’s only 22-years-old, Stewart ranked #1. In the past year, she’s earned nearly $35 million for her roles in the Twilight sequels and Snow White and the Huntsman. Not bad when you consider that four years ago she was barely a household name.

Her first time out as Bella, Kristen nabbed a paltry $800,000. But things only went up from there. Now she’s earning $12.5 mill for every Twilight film, plus a piece of the back end profits. And just imagine what she’ll be raking in if they decide to green light Snow White 2.

Tr3s fave Cameron Diaz scored second on the list, with $34 million taken in during the last 12 months. Though her most recent What To Expect movie didn’t light up the box office, Bad Teacher proved to be a quiet success. The raunchy comedy earned over $200 million, which Cameron got a hefty piece of.

At age 47, Sandra Bullock is still as bankable as ever. The Academy Award winning actress has been in high demand since her critical hit The Blind Side. She’s also got a big budget space epic in the works, which we’re certain earned her a pretty penny.

Taking a big dive this year was Angelina Jolie. In 2011, she was one of the top earners, but after some recent disappointments (remember The Tourist?), her stock tumbled. Though raking in $20 million this year is no shabby feat.

Fifth highest earner Charlize Theron is certainly rising up the ranks. The South African-born beauty earned critical praise for Young Adult, then attached herself to high-profile epics like Snow White and Prometheus. Add all that up and you’ve got an $18 million actress on your hands.

Several familiar faces populated the last few slots on the list. Following Charlize was another Evil Queen, Mirror Mirror’s Julia Roberts (who took home $16 million). Sarah Jessica Parker popped up next with $15 million, primarily from residuals from her Sex and the City franchise.

And proving you can still earn big bucks at any age, screen legend Meryl Streep rounded out the group with $12 million. At 62, she’s still more relevant than ever and prepping herself for a new summer rom com called Hope Springs.

Billy Corgan Is Not A Fan Of Radiohead

Billy Corgan, the only remaining original member of Smashing Pumpkins, recently tweeted some not-so-very-nice things about Radiohead. Although Corgan is known for having a huge ego in the past, his recent jabs at Radiohead got quite the shocked reaction among Radiohead fans.

Corgan said,

“I’ll piss on f***ing Radiohead, because of all this pomposity.”

Classy Corgan was allegedly peeved because Radiohead’s guitarist, Johnny Greenwood, placed 48th on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time, while Deep Purple’s guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, placed 50th on the list. Corgan, not even making it to the list, was miffed that Radiohead’s non-traditional electronic sounds could find a place higher on the list than Deep Purple’s classic blues-influenced rock.

Talent aside, Corgan has had the reputation of being quite the snob. In a 2010 Rolling Stone interview, Corgan, ever-so humbly, bragged,

“Do I belong in the conversation about the best artists in the world? My answer is ‘yes, I do.’”

The Smashing Pumpkins were huge in the 90′s, but have been losing popularity ever since. The original lineup went their separate ways in 2000, which might have been a large part of their decline. While some might be surprised to hear the band Smashing Pumpkins is still active, Corgan is the only remaining Pumpkin from the original lineup.

Maxim’s ‘Hot 100′ List Has Little Latina Flair

Truth be told, we have a few mixed feelings about Maxim’s new “Hot 100 List.” On the one hand, they’ve sprinkled in several of the sexiest Latinas in entertainment. Though to our surprise, none of them cracked the Top 10! Don’t get us wrong, we definitely think they made some good choices. But couldn’t these ladies be bumped up a little higher in the rankings?

Israeli model Bar Refaeli topped this year’s list, followed by actresses Olivia Munn and Mila Kunis.

The top Tr3s fave is TV star Victoria Justice, who nabbed slot #19 on the list. At 19-years-old, she seems to be right in the prime Maxim age demo. But (as for now), Victoria has kept a squeaky clean image and is spearheading one of the most popular shows on Nickelodeon.

Interestingly, another tween queen was the next highest “Hot” Latina. Selena Gomez placed a respectable #24. Though still a role model for the younger crowd, Gomez has been flaunting her grown-up side lately and even spoofed the erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

Glee’s Naya Rivera was the next highest Latina, coming in at #27. At 25-years-old, she’s in her Maxim prime and already built quite a fanbase with her sexy FHM spread. Eva Mendes proved that you can still be very “Hot” in your late 30′s, earning a coveted #29 slot on the list.

Jessica Alba ranked #33, which was actually a bit of a drop from her standings last year. In 2011, she hit #21. Perhaps her new mommy role discouraged the die-hard Maxim fans, but then again aren’t “MILFs” still all the rage?

One of our faves, Sarah Shahi, placed #36, just in time to build buzz for her new season of Fairly Legal. Jennifer Lopez took #37, which we found surprising considering all of those sexy videos she’s been appearing in.

Maxim went on to include Zoe Saldana and Adriana Lima in their Top 50. Beyond that come the real shockers. Gorgeous Latinas like Jordana Brewster, Shakira and Dania Ramirez ranked way on the bottom of the list. Believe it or not, People’s “Most Beautiful” TV actress Sofia Vergara didn’t show up until slot #71!

And don’t get us started on the Tr3s faves who were exed out entirely. To our amazement, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek and Eva Longoria got zero Maxim love. Perhaps it’s time for the famous men’s mag to rethink their voting process.

Yup, Blue Ivy’s baby mama scored the cover of their annual “Most Beautiful Woman” issue. But Tr3s fave Sofia Vergara got some pretty high marks too! Ten women in all were featured in People ‘s “Most Beautiful” gallery. Beyonce certainly looked amazing in her shot, flossing a sultry white sun dress and turquoise jewelry. Now 30-years-old (and a proud mama), she reflected about her idea of beauty. “I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” she told the mag. “I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a sense of purpose on this earth.” Sofia ‘s next on the list and it’s easy to see why. Amazingly, the Modern Family star will be turning 40 in July, though you could hardly tell by her flawless skin. Vergara is actually quite proud of her age and the fact that she’s old enough to have a 19-year-old son. “I am on these lists for ‘best ass’ or ‘most beautiful’ with women like Mila Kunis , who’s, like, 20 years old,” she jokingly said. “I have a son that age!” Charlize Theron got a prominent feature as well and definitely came off humble in her interview. She told People how she spent her early life as an “ugly duckling” and didn’t really blossom until her teens. One of the youngest ladies on the list is 23-year-old Lily Collins . Fresh off her role as Snow White , the striking brunette certainly has some fantastic genes. And with a dad like Phil Collins , you’ve got to wonder if she’s got some musical talent as well. Other beauties include Mission: Impossible ‘s Paula Patton , indie film queen Michelle Williams , and the one-and-only Kate Middleton ! Oh yes, the newest royal bride got a mention too and not just for her looks. The magazine praised her unique sense of style and her charitable personality. And one other noteworthy addition is Revenge star Madeline Stowe . At age 53, she’s the oldest woman on the list and living proof that you can look glamorous at any age.
